Eusebank is a lovely, detached bungalow set within a short stroll of Lake Ullswater and the facilities of Pooley Bridge, in the Lake District National Park. This is a stunning base for couples and small groups seeking the sights of this northern corner of the Lakes, whether by foot, bike or car, and for those wishing to spend their time simply relaxing beside the gentle shores of the lake. You’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay, with the accommodation set entirely over the ground floor. The sitting room comes with a cosy open fire, which can also be used as an electric fire, an essential addition for a memorable, romantic break in Cumbria, where you can settle at the end of the day and share the nostalgia of your holiday so far.
There is a spacious kitchen, which leads through to a sociable dining area, whilst two comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom complete the accommodation. To the front and the back of the property lies a lawned garden, and to the rear there is a patio with furniture, where you can sit on a sunny afternoon and prepare tomorrow’s adventure. It was warm, clean and comfortable with a lovely bed, great shower and spacious kitchen. We parked the car for the week and walked and used the steamer and local buses to explore the scenic area. Eusebank is convenient for the village where there are lots of places to eat. We will be booking again.

The accommodation is exceptionally clean and warm and represents very good value for money. I felt that some of the electrical items would benefit from an update, such as the washing machine, fridge (not very cold) and the main TV. (Poor picture quality) Aside from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if only for the fantastic view of sheep and lambs in the field every morning and an excellent shower.

The bed we used was very comfortable. Less than a five minute walk into the centre of lively Pooley Bridge, with a good number of places to eat and drink and a couple of well stocked shops. Great starting point for a number of walks and the Ullswater ferry terminal is within easy walking distance. The property had a good information book about walks in the area. The highlight of our stay was to see a red squirrel in the front garden on our first morning, burying some food in the lawn.
