Water sports, cycling and walking are all popular activities and whichever you choose you’ll be amazed by the spectacular scenery which Wordsworth called ‘the happiest combination of beauty and grandeur’. South of the lake you can drive over the scenic Kirkstone Pass which takes you down into the popular village of Ambleside and on to Windermere. The traditional market town of Penrith with a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants is 6 miles. Shops and pubs 30 yards.

Holly House in the centre of Pooley Bridge within easy walking distance of several pubs, a convenience store and restaurants. The house is in excellent decorative order. Very comfortable with 5 bedrooms and good ensuite bathrooms. The Kitchen is excellent, very big and well equipped. The lounge is very comfortable for 8 to 10 people, as is the dining room with a very large table which will easily seat 10. Overall a very nice house in an excellent location.
