Ruth met us at the location and showed us around. The place is just lovely. Some fantastic views - enjoyed quite a few times from inside the (beautifully clean) hot tub! The barn has everything you'd need. We're quite a techy family, so the fast internet was perfect (I believe it's Starlink). Usually in more rural locations the internet can be a bit sketchy, not here! Full coverage wifi all around the property too. We always take our firestick away with us, so netflix etc all worked seamlessly. Everything was clean and high quality within the property too. Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher and full size fridge all adding to the home comforts. The location was great for visiting surrounding lakes... and the local pub only a short walk away (though, it was quite dark so we drove in the evening). Next time we're in the Lakes, we'll definitely be looking to book Meadow Syke Barn again.

The under floor heating was fab, but fortunately we didn’t need it. Location was so quiet and excellent for our 3 year old chocolate labourers first holiday, she loved the open space, enclosed fields and amazing walks, even joined a local chap and his dog on a walk. Enjoyed an evening meal at the Mardale Inn, fab and staff lovely. Pooley Bridge only 20 minutes away, had a lovely lunch by the riverside. If you want a lovely break at a 5 star barn then, this is the place , the hot tub and enclosed patio area are fab. We will defiantly book again.
