Standing in a short row of cottages, just a stone’s throw from the southern shore of Ullswater, this comfortably furnished and cosy, traditional slate cottage enjoys spectacular rear views to the fells from its delightful, south east facing garden. The cottage is located centrally in the Lake District National Park and a unesco World Heritage Site. There is superb walking from the doorstep, water sports are available in the village, and a cruise on the famous Ullswater steamer is a must. A spectacular drive over nearby Kirkstone Pass drops down into Windermere and Ambleside making this an excellent central holiday location. Shops, pubs and restaurants in village 200 metres.

Excellent cottage in brilliant location, only issue was parking . But would definitely go again. Try to make the people living opposite give you car space.

Great host, mesaged to make sure we had everything we needed. Side note, the house had new sofas since the photos which were super comfy. Amazing location.

Great stay in this lovely cottage. Spotless, warm with excellently equipped kitchen and bathroom. The fast Wi-Fi was a bonus as was the parking right by the house. Location on the Helvellyn path whilst being a few minutes from the lake and village was perfect for us, with local shops and pubs having everything we needed. Will definitely be staying again!
