Excellent value for money. Quiet location with great views of the fells the other side of Ullswater. Comfy beds, hot showers, a warm house (in winter) and a comfy chair is how I rate premises and the old bothy ticked all those. Some bits are dated and the layout unusual, but that doesn’t detract from it being a comfortable place to stay. The road up to the bothy and parking outside it was fine and nothing to worry about, you’ll find much worse on the back roads. Would definitely stay again for a similar price.

A Beautiful cottage, nestled in a perfectly secluded location, with views of Hallin Fell, yet only a short drive from Pooley Bridge and Glenridding. A perfect basecamp for stunning walks and cosy pubs. The cottage itself is well equipped, and the hosts are very responsive. Wpuld stay again in a heartbeat!
