We had a great week in The Old Bothy, very peaceful with great views of the hills surrounding Ullswater. Spacious and quirky property with plenty of room in the fridge/freezer. Would have been lovely to see some teabags and milk provided (or a welcome pack) so we could have a cupper after a long drive to get there. Also we found the property wasn't that clean and was probably due a deep clean! The instructions you receive when you book the cottage are confusing as well so these need amending. Lovely stay for the price.

We did book the cotrage at the height of the summer season so the price reflected that. The cottage is a stunning location with amazing view from the front door. It is also well equipped. We just felt that it was looking a little tired and the beds were ok but not super comfortable. The bushes are overgrown down the side path entrance and this needs a simple spruce up. Overall great place but needs some TLC.
