At the Ullswater Holiday Park, we specialise in a friendly welcome, practical family facilities and a range of accommodation to suit all needs. Our family has been here since 1958 and our park has plenty of space combining a sheltered position beneath Cumbrian fells with excellent access to the nearby shores and waters of Ullswater. Camping in Ullswater has never been so good. We have a number of cottages for hire on the park itself, but the Hidden Place is our rural retreat situated half a mile off-site down a country lane.

Our modern 6-berth static caravans are spacious and offer comfortable family accommodation with all the facilities and equipment that you would expect from your holiday home. Whether you are planning a relaxing holiday or an adventure packed one, our statics are the perfect base to do so. Situated just one mile up from the lake our Park is an ideal place to bring the children and their inflatables for a fun filled day on the Lake. Or if you prefer hiking and walking, the Ullswater way goes straight through the middle of our Park meaning you can easily walk to Aira force or Pooley Bridge. Static caravans are available for short breaks and for weekly hire from Friday to Friday, or Monday to Monday.

For walkers, cyclists and tourists, Ullswater Holiday Park is well placed for exploring the Lake District National Park and most of Cumbria.

The Park backs on to the fells, with the Helvellyn range, Raise and the Dodds behind us and the High Street Ridge and Howtown across the lake. These fells offer walkers plenty of choice, from strenuous climbs to lakeside rambles, and Wainwright’s Northern and Eastern Fells are just a short drive away.

The regular “Ullswater Steamers” makes access to other points on the lake much easier. These boats carry passengers between Glenridding, Pooley Bridge and Howtown throughout the year and the service opens up even more walks as well as some of the best views from The staff in local outdoor shops and information centres are always pleased to advise on equipment, hill weather and suitable routes for all abilities.

The Lake District centres of Ambleside, Windermere, Keswick and Caldbeck are easy excursions from the Park. Nearby attractions include the gardens at Dalemain, The Rheged Visitors Centre, the National Trust walks at Aira Force waterfalls and the Theatre by the Lake situated at Keswick.
