There are steps in the enclosed garden, and steep, sloping banks and an unfenced river in the surrounding grounds, 75 yards away.. Waterfall Wood Cottage, as the name suggests, is next to a waterfall, and positioned amongst woodland. Inside is comfy and cosy, location wise it is situated just above the village of Glenridding, on one of the main walking routes to Helvellyn and Sunday Crag, and many many more, straight from your doorstep. This traditional, stone-built cottage has excellent quality furnishings and every appliance to ensure guests’ comfort. A feature of the cottage is the garden, where you can enjoy the fantastic views, and serene sound of the nearby waterfall. The cottage also benefits from underfloor heating. You can walk Helvellyn straight from your door, plus many great walks in this impressive valley. Situated a 10-minute walk away is Ullswater, where there are many lovely walks, including the spectacular Aira Force Waterfall. The less energetic could take a cruise on the Ullswater steamers and fish on the lake. Shop, pub and restaurant nearby in Glenridding and Patterdale within walking distance.

There is a very steep slope and drop down to the river (75 yards away) and waterfall. There are steps inside and out, including 5 steps to the living room and 6 steps down to the twin room from the first floor.

This cottage is an absolute dream with a river and waterfall in the garden and several great walks that start at the doorstep. Floors are heated, shower and bath are great, beds are comfy, kitchen well equiped, shops and pubs nearby. We had a great stay and will be back!

We had a wonderful week at Waterfall Wood Cottage ,it's very cosy and warm well equipped everything that we wanted ,a short walk from Glenridding and Ullswater ,there's lots of good places to eat within a short walk especially the White Lion at Patterdale very good food with a warm welcome ,loads of walks from the doorstep ,we will certainly be hoping to stay there again.
