The indoor pool and the estate's peacefulness are highlights, with many enjoying the local walks. Some concerns were raised about cleanliness and maintenance, but the overall experience seems to be positive, with guests expressing a desire to return.
Cleanliness received mixed reviews, with some guests finding the property very clean, while others reported issues with dirty crockery, utensils, and stained mattresses. The presence of cobwebs was also noted, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with guests enjoying the walks and wildlife. The quietness away from busier areas like Windermere is appreciated, making it an ideal retreat.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with mentions of comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere. However, one guest mentioned the property was cold on the first night, indicating that heating could be better managed.
Facilities are appreciated, especially the swimming pool and the on-site shop. However, there were comments about the need for more mugs and cutlery, and some maintenance issues like curtains hanging off and the need for smart televisions.

We also had problems with the shower as my partner and I were only able to have one hot shower each and then the shower was cold if you wanted to freshen up in the evening before heading out somewhere. The cottage is advertised as dog friendly but we could not find a hoover anywhere to keep the dog hair down.

Negative - no email with booking reference so we had to go to the shop to book swimming, people had already booked but did not show up so families miss out. Why canât last booking be open so anyone can go. Need a few maps of walks from the cottages, and wish there was a pub to walk to, also needs smart televisions Apart from that great but we also had the weather which helped
Ruth
Lovely and warm when we opened the front door. Comfortable beds, lovely fluffy towels. Beautiful setting. Only little negative is we needed a couple more mugs and cutlery. Lovely lady in the shop. We would most definitely return.
