The first floor boasts a second family bathroom, large kingsize bedroom with beams, double bedroom and a twin bedroom.
The cottage is perfectly positioned in Newby Bridge, a hot spot for many local attractions, this popular area is home to the Lakes Aquarium and Windermere Lake Cruises, Haverthwaite steam train and many more. The start of the largest lake in the UK, Windermere is just a few minutes’ drive away where a plethora of water activities are available.
Just 15 minutes down the road is the traditional village of Cartmel, famous for its horse racing weekends and also for its sticky toffee pudding; this quirky village is definitely worth a visit. Cartmel also offers two Michelin star restaurants for you to enjoy, so be sure to book.
Hazelrigg Farm is the perfect base for a gateway into the lakes, so whether you are planning to enjoy walking a few of the 214 Wainwrights fells, cycle the fantastic roads or drive to other popular towns around Cumbria such as Ulverston, Ambleside, Coniston, Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere, you are spoilt for choice. The cottage is in a beautiful peaceful location. Furnished well with all you could need for a super break. The two wonderful sheep dogs living with the owner nearby were so friendly and funny! Paul very helpful with lots of great tips. Close to lake Windermere and lots of other lovely attractions. A really great stay overall!

Absolutely loved staying here, the owners were extremely welcoming as were their lovely dogs!House was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our family of 4 and our dog. Very quiet location on farm land away from the busy and tourist hub of Windermere and as it is between the fells and lakes and the coast, you get the best of what Cumbria has to offer. Be aware the garden is not enclosed, so if you bring a dog that likes to make a run for it, keep them well under control, especially if there are livestock in the surrounding fields.Supermarkets are about 30 mins drive, so stock up when you can. Beautiful place couldn’t recommend enough.
