The Laurels is a well-presented, clean, and comfortable cottage in a quiet location, ideal for exploring the South Lakes. It boasts a well-equipped kitchen, good internet, and quality TV, with access to a gym and spa. Some guests mentioned issues with the boiler and hot water, but also noted improvements and responsiveness to feedback.
Guests consistently described the property as clean, tidy, and spotless, with only a few isolated incidents of cleanliness concerns. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The property is praised for its quiet cul-de-sac setting, convenient for exploring the South Lakes, with easy access to tourist spots and local amenities. Some guests noted intermittent traffic noise.
Reviews highlight comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere, with a few guests mentioning issues with hot water affecting comfort. Overall, the property is seen as welcoming and suitable for families.
Facilities like the well-equipped kitchen, internet, and TV are appreciated. However, the boiler issues have impacted the score, despite the property offering a range of amenities including spa access.
While guests have appreciated the facilities and the inclusion of a welcome pack, there is no mention of gifts or additional thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

The furniture is comfortable, there's some nice outside space, and we found it to be very clean. However the owners cannot expect repeat visitors until they sort the boiler out. It is unacceptable to have to go through the process of resetting it each day just to get hot water. Looking back through previous comments, this has been going on for some time.

Lovely cottage, only snag was no mirror in twin bedroom and not iron Only stayed 3 days so not a massive issue Would certainly stay again

The number that was in the airbnb app (this one went via airbnb) went to voicemail and then said "voicemail is full". Never even got a call back. No warm water and no functional heating. This meant no proper showers or ways to properly dry wet clothing.
