The living area invites you to relax on the comfortable sofas while you toast your toes in front of the wood burner. The chef in your party will be drawn to the sleek kitchen which offers plenty of amenities and space, so you can prepare anything from a sandwich to a meal worthy of a Michelin star, spectators can sit in awe of the culinary skills on show at the breakfast bar and then when it’s time to dine, the light and spacious dining area is the perfect setting to enjoy your meal.
The first of the four bedrooms is accessible off the ground floor and comes with an en-suite shower and there is a separate ground floor toilet, moving upstairs, there is a good-sized family bathroom with bath, shower and the remaining three bedrooms, which comprise of a kingsize, twin room, and a children’s bunk bed room.
The house is ideally situated midway between Bowness and Windermere which are both within easy walking distance. Both of these highly popular villages offer a great selection of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés, so you won’t be short of places to wine and dine, day or night and then of course you have a whole host of activities to entertain and delight every member of your party, whether you enjoy, walking, cycling, water sports, climbing or simply cruising across the world-famous Lake Windermere. Other less energetic pursuits available locally include visiting, the cinema, steam railway, castle, animal parks, aquarium, museums and theatre; suffice to say you’ll never be bored and all this with the backdrop of some of the most stunning scenery on the planet.

What a wonderful property in a great location- almost half way between the towns of Bowness and Windermere offering both as great options to walk to for sights, shopping, great food and pubs. The accommodation was incrediblyWell thought out by the owners who have done an impressive job of renovating this large home to tasteful and stylish modern open plan living, with clever multiple seating areas and comfortable beds to rest after a long day. The log burner was a must for us and didn’t disappoint. I have to say every detail has been considered, the kitchen extremely well stocked with good instructions and lots of leaflets for local tourism. Board games provided for evenings in with a smart tv and excellent WiFi. The garden is beautiful with a large terrace which given the weather in Feb we didn’t get to enjoy but I imagine it’s a lovely spot for a relaxed evening in summer. The communication from our host Jo was excellent and helpful, we were even able to check in early and due to availability and not feeling quite ready to leave we even extended our stay by one night.EV charger was a great asset and there is ample off road car parking for several cars.Thanks for the thoughtful welcome pack as well, the lemon cake was a huge hit! All in all highly recommended, we hope to visit again very soon!

Beautiful house, very well maintained and beautiful inside. Only bits of feedback is washer didn’t spin properly, water was only just warm some evenings when we had our showers. The biggest downside was the adjoining house had people in the upstairs bedroom making lots of noise until the early hours of morning which disturbed our sleep in the upstairs bedroom

Fantastic holiday home. The photos looked good but we were taken aback by the home when we arrived. When I next return to Bowness / Windemere I will try and book this house again. The house is located at top of a fairly steep hill so possibly not suitable for those with mobility issues.
