Lauron's View is a well-regarded holiday cottage, praised for its stunning views over Lake Windermere and excellent location. Guests appreciate the well-furnished, comfortable interiors and the property's suitability for families, though some noted areas for improvement in maintenance and cleanliness. The garden and balcony are highlights, offering relaxation and wildlife sightings.
While many guests found the property to be clean and tidy, there were several mentions of specific cleanliness issues such as half-washed cutlery, a dirty fridge, and dusty areas. These instances suggest room for improvement, although they seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to Bowness and the exceptional views it offers. Guests consistently mention the convenience of the location and the ease of access to local amenities and attractions.
The property is generally regarded as comfortable and well-equipped, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned issues with overly soft beds and a lack of curtains or blinds affecting room temperature and sleep quality.
Facilities are well-received, especially for adults, but there are several comments about maintenance issues such as problematic doors and a damaged cooking hob. The property is equipped with a variety of amenities, but the maintenance concerns slightly detract from the overall experience.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of consideration for guests. Therefore, this score cannot be provided.

First ice the day we were leaving and the steps were so dangerous it took us an hour to be able to get near the car, you could do with having a salt bucket next to the door. But we loved our stay and so did our friends with thanks

This was our 3rd time there. We were, however, disappointed that none of the TVs in the bedrooms worked and only the lounge TV was connected to the internet and we could stream content from there. We phoned on the Friday we arrived to complain about this and Stewart from Lakelovers came out to check the problem. Like us he said it was an aerial problem and he would arrange an aerial company to fix it. This never happened as the owner said it was not a problem when he last stayed in the house. It is a problem which Stewart from Lakelovers also witnessed so no doubt other guests will have the same problem.

The bedroom doors in particular are all sticking, you have to really push them and end up banging them shut. The door in the living area out to the patio was challenging too. Otherwise we loved our stay. The bank is very steep up to the property, so I would say anybody with walking difficulties would need a car or taxi.
