Guests say

Miyanli is a spacious cottage with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a lovely garden. It is situated in a peaceful location with wildlife and scenic walks, close to the town centre, albeit up a steep hill. The property's charm and value for money are appreciated, though some guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

Guests have reported concerns with cleanliness, including a lack of thorough cleaning, mould in the utility room, and dirty kitchen cupboards. However, some guests found the property clean upon arrival.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to local life and scenic walks, despite the steep hill to the property which may not be suitable for everyone. The peaceful setting and wildlife are also appreciated.

The property is described as spacious and comfortable with cosy beds and a hot shower. Some guests, however, experienced issues with a damp utility room and noise from the plumbing.

Facilities like the well-equipped kitchen and utility room are noted positively, but there are several reports of maintenance issues such as a non-working dryer, plumbing noise, and insufficient rubbish bins.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Everything we needed in the kitchen was there and upstairs the bedrooms were of a good size and very comfortable. The house itself is in a lovely quiet setting with beautiful gardens surrounded by woods and it was lovely to hear the owls at night, As per previous reviews the utility room was a bit cold and damp but we didn't need to use it as we had a dry week but do understand this is being addressed. Bowness town is a lovely base with good pubs and restaurants but it is a steep hill back to the house if walking.

The property is dated and there were a few issues and only one was resolved. The utility room has mould all over the walls, damp and the ceiling is falling down. I have pictures that have been sent to Sykes. The kitchen. Smells of damp. Only one shower works at a time so taking ages for people to get showered/bath. The tv didn’t work for 2 days - this was rectified. O have spoken to Sykes and they are still advertising this property and they did not advise me of these problems when we booked and there are now similar comments. When we are leaving a council application was erected seeking planning to knock down part of the property where it is damp so both parties are aware of this situation and we were not advised. The owners /sykes are not prepared to offer any financial compensation. Do not rent this property if you want showering or bathing - it will take ages for the whole family and if you have any health issues it’s a no go. Great location but won’t be using Skye’s again as we weren’t informed. !!!
