Silver Howe is a well-regarded property with guests praising its spaciousness, comfortable beds, and excellent location close to Bowness-On-Windermere. The property's kitchen is highlighted as well-equipped, and the garden is appreciated for its beauty. While some guests mention issues with cleaning and maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property to be clean and tidy, while others noted issues with cobwebs, dirty ovens, and floors. The inconsistency leads to a score above average, as the majority did not report severe problems.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to local shops and attractions, with many guests appreciating the short walk to the town centre. The quiet setting is also noted positively, although some mention the challenge of a hilly approach for those with mobility issues.
Guests generally find the beds comfortable and the house warm, contributing to a good night's sleep. However, some guests reported uncomfortable sofas and a dark atmosphere in certain rooms, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are well-received, with a well-stocked kitchen and en-suite bedrooms. However, several reviews mention issues with maintenance such as a saggy bed, a leaky freezer, and a problematic dishwasher. These concerns affect the score, reflecting the need for attention to these areas.
There is insufficient information to score thoughtfulness accurately. While some guests mention welcome packs, there is no consistent reference to gifts or additional thoughtful touches that would warrant a score. Therefore, the score is set to null.

A quiet tucked away gem with plenty of facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you
Kay
It's a beautiful house with large comfortable rooms. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms are lovely. Easy parking for three cars. Quiet location within 10 mins walk of Bowness centre down the hill. This house feels like home from home to us. Only slight niggle was the heating. It's always warm downstairs (maybe a little too warm), but upstairs it's cold. We plan to return next year. Can't wait.

The house was exactly as described and we really appreciated the Christmas decorations, so festive. We felt at home with the space of all the rooms and the real fire. The house was warm and generally clean apart from some of the crockery and the surfaces by the cooker. We had an issue with the dishwasher as discovered it full of water when we went to use it on the Monday. We reported this and was told someone would hopefully come before Christmas day. Sadly no repair was made nor did Lakelovers get back to us throughout the week. However we have booked again for next year and hope the dishwasher will be repaired or replaced. This is likely the cause of the dirty crockery. Bowness is a lovely area with lots to do, friendly locals, a nice church and lovely views/walks. Thanks for sharing your property.
