Unlike many of the apartments within this development, Fawn View is very spacious. The entrance hall opens onto a well-equipped kitchen with all of the necessary appliances you need to cook up a feast for the senses. There are three comfortable bedrooms in this fantastic apartment, one of which has a Freeview TV. The cosy living/dining room has a 40" Freeview TV mounted on the wall, along with an electric fire, dining table and French doors leading onto the small balcony with outdoor furniture.
Set back from the main road that runs through Bowness-on-Windermere, Fawn View enjoys a quiet residential location which is conveniently close to all of the town’s amenities. There is also allocated parking which means that you don’t have to worry about town centre traffic and parking charges. There is a short cut next to the apartment which will take you into the town centre, where you will find an excellent selection of bars, cafés, restaurants, takeaways, pubs and shops. Bowness-on-Windermere is also home to a traditional cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction, which is very popular with families. Other family friendly places to visit include the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakeland Aquarium, Motor Museum and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway. Lake Windermere is just a 10-minute walk away and from here you can either hire a boat or take a ride on one of the old Victorian steamers. The surrounding fells offer lots of great walking opportunities, making it the perfect base for families who like to keep active. Grizedale Forest also makes for a great day out with plenty of trails, mountain biking and the Go Ape Treetop Adventure. Other popular Lakeland towns within easy driving distance include Windermere, Ambleside, Kendal, Hawkshead, Cartmel and Ulverston. Fawn View was ideal, we booked for an old friends reunion, but it would have been great for two couples or a family holiday. It was wonderfully close to the centre of Bowness but nice and quiet. We could park our two (small) cars nose to tail at the front, but if you had larger cars the 24x7 car park is over the road. Fawn View is on the 2nd floor however I'm not the most mobile of folks (use a stick) and the stairs are up are fine. Now we've found Fawn View will go back again.

Really impressed with how clean and well equipped the cottage was with all the amenities. Lovely Christmas decor to spend the holidays. Excellent location in Bowness with everything in arm's length. Couldn't be more happy with the experience.

We went away for new year with family. The location was excellent for all the local amenities. The flat was well equipped though some of the kitchen crockery could do with updating and the pans that don’t work on an induction hob should be removed as they can cause problems!There were also a lot of steep steps to the property not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.Overall we had a lovely break.
