Guests are highly pleased with Foxrock, praising its superb location, modern features, and beautiful outdoor spaces. The property's cleanliness, comfort, and high-standard facilities contribute to a delightful stay. While some minor issues are noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many eager to return.
The property is generally celebrated for its cleanliness. However, one guest mentioned finding dog hair from a previous stay and a dusty radiator, suggesting room for improvement in thoroughness.
The location is consistently lauded for its convenience to local shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities, making it an ideal base for exploring Windermere and Bowness.
Comfort is highly rated with mentions of a cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and a sun terrace. One review noted discomfort with the beds, but this seems an isolated view.
Facilities are well-regarded, especially the kitchen and outdoor areas. Criticisms include the lack of an internal connection to the annexe and the automatic locking front door causing inconvenience.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

This is the third time we have stayed and will be back as in the perfect location and always a comfortable stay.

The home has been superbly furnished with all mod cons and a beautiful log stove that we enjoyed in the evenings. The outside space was also well equipped and maintained and it was just bliss to be up early in the morning, with my Labrador, with the patio door open, listening to nothing but the birds and the sound of the stream running by the bottom of the garden!â¤ï¸ However, I had just a couple of niggles with the cleanliness. Whilst sweeping up after my own dog, I was also sweeping up the dog hair from a previous stay; my Labrador is white and there were lots of black dog hairs I was sweeping up! The radiator in the bathroom was really dusty and not really somewhere I wanted to hang my facecloth to dry! And the grill was a little grubby and had to be washed/scrubbed before I could use it. We did have an issue with the lock on the bathroom door, but I phoned Sykes and reported it, and the maintenance team came out quickly to repair that. Overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone and would return to it in a heartbeat. Thank you âºï¸

I also think you should make it clear in the property description that the second bathroom is effectively in another building. For 5 adults, only having 1 indoor bathroom each morning was a little tricky and had we known this we would have booked somewhere else.
