Windermere View is a lovely lodge with stunning lake views and a fantastic location close to the water, ideal for kayaking and swimming. Guests appreciate the layout and the inclusion of a health club access. While some maintenance issues were promptly addressed, the property's cleanliness and certain aspects of comfort have room for improvement.
Several reviews mention cleanliness issues such as dust, dirty kitchen floors, and debris left from previous guests. These recurring comments suggest that the cleaning standards could be significantly improved.
The lodge's location is consistently praised for its proximity to the lake and the beautiful views it offers, making it a perfect spot for outdoor activities and relaxation.
The comfort of the lodge is generally well-regarded, especially the master bed with an en suite. However, there are several mentions of an uncomfortable second double bed mattress, which impacts the overall comfort experience.
Facilities are appreciated, such as the kitchen and layout. Maintenance responded quickly to issues, but there were several reports of maintenance-related problems, including bathroom fixtures and TV malfunctions.
Guests noted the absence of a welcome pack and local area information, which are touches that can enhance the guest experience. While these are not guaranteed, their presence is often seen as a thoughtful gesture by hosts.

Could do with being cleaned a bit better hand marks on tv and lots of sweets and rubbish under the bed when looking for something we dropped a couple of little repairs in the fridge and shower in en-suite.Overall though a lovely lodge and great place to holiday would still recommend.

It's almost perfect in every way. However the cleanliness on this visit was woeful. There was an empty water bottle, a fake eyelash, 2cpairs of socks and a false nail left behind in the bedrooms. The TV screen had what looked like child's handprints on it. The windows are filthy, which detracts from the views. And there were crumbs all over the kitchen area. It wasn't what we wanted to walk into on day one. Aside from that, the location is perfect the accommodation is well laid out and we will definitely be back. I just hope the cleaners get a talking to before we come back

Just a few moans, some areas could do with a good clean. General update on accessories could wouldnât go a miss, and a bit more attention to detail. Little disappointed at no welcome pack, all off the properties weâve been in before all have these in, only a little thing but it does make a difference when the owners go over and above. Also, no information available on what there is to do in the area, again other properties weâve been in have anything like this readily available for if you need it, and also the instruction booklets for the electrical items in the property.
