Guests say

Squirrels Snug is a well-received lodge in a peaceful and ideal location for exploring the Lake District. Guests have praised its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The lodge is well-equipped for a family stay, though some guests noted the second bedroom is more suited for children. The surrounding area offers beautiful walks and proximity to local attractions.

Most guests found Squirrels Snug to be clean and tidy upon arrival. However, a few guests mentioned minor cleanliness issues such as windows, mirrors, and outdoor furniture needing more attention, and occasional dog hair. These were not widespread concerns and seemed to be isolated incidents.

The lodge is consistently praised for its excellent location, being quiet, secluded, and close to the lake and local amenities. It serves as a great base for exploring the Lake District, with easy access to nearby towns and attractions.

Guests generally found the lodge to be comfortable, especially the living areas and master bedroom. However, some guests mentioned that the beds, particularly in the second bedroom, could be improved for added comfort.

The lodge is well-equipped with kitchen utensils and comfortable furniture. The hot tub is a highlight, though there were some maintenance issues reported such as with the shower, oven instructions, and hot tub operation. These issues were promptly addressed in most cases.

While many guests were pleased with the overall experience, there were no specific mentions of thoughtful gestures such as gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to assess this category.

I had an amazing time definitely would come back the only reason why the cleanliness isn't perfect it's because there were a few cups that needed cleaning and the outside table needed a good brush with the Broom because of the leaves and it seemed it hadn't been moved in a while but no one's perfect would definitely come back again

We only had 1 problem with this excellent lodge, which was the Jacuzey outside, on the first night I never had a wink of sleep because the Jacuzey was running all night this was next to the double bed's headboard, this never stopped until 7am in the morning, I called Sykes help desk in Chester who arranged for it to be turned off as we had no intention of using it, we looked for the isolator but could not find it, it turned out to be under the cover to the tale and chairs,
