Swallows’ Nest, literally a few steps from the centre of the traditional Lakeland village of Windermere, is tucked quietly away from the shops, cafés, restaurants and station of this popular town. Decorated and furnished to a high standard, the terraced cottage provides beautifully presented holiday accommodation which is suitable for couples and families alike, offering all the home comforts you could wish for. The open-plan kitchen, dining and living room is a great social space and is equipped to a high standard. The cottage has recently been extended with the loft area now offering a master bedroom with ensuite. With the benefit of a delightful terrace, guests can enjoy the prime location and local facilities. There is private parking for one car - three additional spaces are available for guests at the top of the cul-de-sac, shared with the other four cottages on a first come, first served basis.

Great location for Windermere. Booked here because it had a dedicated parking space outside the house. Swallows Nest was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. Plenty of room in all bedrooms.Easy to drive to Ambleside and beyond. Took the open top bus from Windermere Station which is a 5 minute walk away from the house. Plenty of places to eat in Windermere. Swallows Nest was a place to relax and a great central base for our first visit to the lake district.

We absolutely loved our time at Swallow's Nest. Brilliant location and provided with most things you need for a weeks holiday. Could have easily stayed in the Lake District for another week especially Windermere Village.Plenty of places to eat, drink and visit.The only thing i would say is the cleaning of the house could have been better with a few little bits need touching up in the bathrooms. And some cleaning supplies would have been appreciated.
