Swallows’ Nest, literally a few steps from the centre of the traditional Lakeland village of Windermere, is tucked quietly away from the shops, cafés, restaurants and station of this popular town. Decorated and furnished to a high standard, the terraced cottage provides beautifully presented holiday accommodation which is suitable for couples and families alike, offering all the home comforts you could wish for. The open-plan kitchen, dining and living room is a great social space and is equipped to a high standard. The cottage has recently been extended with the loft area now offering a master bedroom with ensuite. With the benefit of a delightful terrace, guests can enjoy the prime location and local facilities. There is private parking for one car - three additional spaces are available for guests at the top of the cul-de-sac, shared with the other four cottages on a first come, first served basis.

Lovely house, within easy walking distance to shops, pubs, train and buses, loads of cooking equipment and crockery, was nice to have a parking space outside house.

A fabulous place to spend time away with family. A very comfortable home, with plenty of room, which was very well equipped. We were greeted with a lovely gift bag of prosecco, Lindt teddies and Grassmere Gingerbread. The house was more spacious than we thought it would be and extremely clean and cosy. We would definitely recommend it and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you to the fantastic hosts for their warm welcome.
