Lovely place and staff Coytsge was clean and tidy, could with keeping up with maintenance better. Extractor fans not working and freezer compartment in fridge had no cover so stuff was freezing that shouldn't, like lettace.Very central for lots of days out.

I'm sorry to have to be so negative but the accommodation needs some serious attention. The bathroom sink blocked, there was tape around the base of the shower, the dishwasher was dirty and there were few instructions on kitchen equipment. The walls are needing some attention too. The swimming pool is however a big plus, and the kids loved it. From a location perspective, its 30+ minutes from the sea and many attractions are a similar distance..The staff we met were very friendly although I would have liked someone to actually visit us briefly to have a chat early on.

The cottage was a lovely size. Nice location, lovely local pub a short drive away. With some TLC the cottage could be fantastic - a coat of paint to freshen it up, the dripping kitchen tap, shower to be more than a trickle and the broken extractor fans in the kitchen and bathroom fixed. The welcome pack could do with updating and having chosen the cottage as dogs were welcomed it was disappointing to find in it that we couldn’t leave them unattended in the cottage, that ruled out family swims. The pool was lovely, however there were restrictions which meant we could only swim between 9-11 then 3-7. And then only 8 people in the pool at one time. As keen cyclists we checked on the listings and decided to take the bikes as there was a bike store. Unable to locate it upon arrival we contacted the owners and were guided to an unlocked farm building that was very humid, possibly housing the pool heater, and used for random storage. This was not what we would expect for a bike store and would have left the bikes behind if we had known.
