The Roost in Wendling offers high-standard contemporary accommodation for up to five guests, deep in the Norfolk countryside. This beautiful barn conversion with open-plan living offers guests gorgeous views through the floor-to-ceiling window, as well as a modern, fresh yet homely family feel throughout.
Without doubt, at The Roost, you will be drawn to the huge picture window looking out onto mature trees and farmland from the comfort of your sofa. This single storey first floor property consists of an open-plan living area with a Smart television tucked neatly in the corner so as not to obstruct the stunning view, a dining area and well-equipped kitchen with integrated appliances. The two bedrooms are furnished with quality linens, and both have double aspect views including a Velux window. In the master bedroom you will find a luxurious oak sleigh bed, chest of drawers, hanging rail and dressing table. The triple room consists of a full sized single bed and bunk beds as well as storage. Both are served by a spacious, modern bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and wash basin. Outside you will find a veranda covered seating area as well as peaceful garden complete with barbecue and enclosed parking.
Wendling is a peaceful village in the heart of Norfolk with easy access to town, coast and countryside, making it a popular choice for families throughout the year whatever their interests. Close by you will find the convenient town of Dereham with a wealth of shops, cinema, sports centre and eateries, with the coast just thirty five minutes drive away.

Really enjoyed our bank holiday here. Beautiful property, felt newly decorated. Everything fresh, clean and modern. Plenty of space for a family of four and our golden retriever. Lovely hosts who were there on hand (when we couldn't find a switch!) but allowed us our privacy too. Katherine (host) invited our young boys round to see their sheep which was a highlight for the boys and we enjoyed the panoramic view of the fields from the window. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you!

Very nice and clean, well stocked and welcome pack provided. Lockbox check in and ample parking. Rural location but only 10 mins from a town. Owners live on site next door but it feels private; they were accessible and very helpful with helping us to find it but otherwise didn't see them

We had a great stay at The Roost for a few days. Upon arrival there was a welcome package of tea, coffee, milk, bread. I believe the owners live next door but felt very private with lovely views. Itâs down an unmade road. Very clean and plenty of toilet roll, shampoo and conditioner and soap. We went into Dereham and ate at The Taste of Istanbul which was lovely and even got a take away from there we liked so much! Property is very accessible and not far from most places. Would recommend this property.
