No smoking.. This seaside cottage is nestled in the popular seaside village of Caister-on-Sea and 700 yards’ walk away is the long sandy beach backed by dunes. The village amenities are also a short walk away with a selection of pubs, restaurants, takeaways, bakery, butcher, and supermarket. There are miles of soft sandy beaches and dunes to explore, and dogs are welcome on the beach all year round, sea fishing is also available (licence required). There is horse racing, and a greyhound stadium also hosting stock car and banger racing throughout the summer season; both stadiums have their own bar/restaurants to provide a great night out. Caister Castle, built in 1432, which currently houses an impressive classic car collection, is also nearby.
The traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is a 15 minutes’ drive, or a 6 miles’ beach walk, offering fun for all ages. Hosting a pier with live entertainment, fun fair, Sea Life Centre, leisure centre with indoor swimming pool, amusement arcades, as well as candy floss, ice cream and fish and chip shops available along the main promenade, there are also a shopping arcade and market square. The Norfolk Broads National Park is also on your doorstep, and this impressive and unique landscape is best explored by boat. Daily boat hire and river trips are available to explore the expanse of waterways and there are many waterside restaurants along the way. The fine city of Norwich, with two indoor shopping centres and a market square is a must for any shopping enthusiast, it also has a cathedral and castle museum, theatre, plenty of restaurants, cafés, and pubs. We had a great week’s stay at the Dune-cottage. It was close to the beach and the high street with shops and take aways. It was great to be able to take all three dogs away with us and less then a 5 minute walk to the beach 😊😊It sleeps 5 and had a large bathroom. There was only one slight issue we don’t like to eat takeaways to often so would cook but there wasn’t sufficient knives for chopping and cutting meat. Otherwise we had a great time 😊😊🐾🐾🐾
