The location is described as peaceful, idyllic, and secluded, with lovely views and proximity to beaches and attractions. It overlooks a golf course and is near the country's largest horse sanctuary.

Despite poor weather we found the house very comfortable and well equipped. Chestnut Cottage also probably has the best location on the site. Pool/barn etc were useful but the fact the golf course didn’t hire clubs was a disappointment. For the price, overall good value.

We absolutely loved our stay here at Chestnut Cottage. The property itself contained everything we needed and more. Peace of mind with the numerous stair gates around the cottage, with little ones around. But able to ‘hide’ them when not in use, so they weren’t in the way as they were pull across designed.Cleanliness was brilliant, beds beautifully clean and prepared. All amenities thought of, including the usual things that can be forgotten such as kitchen roll, washing up liquid, oil for cooking, etc.Stunning location and views. We visited when it snowed heavily, and the underfloor heating throughout the cottage was wonderful.Use of a washing machine/dryer was helpful.Games room was a brilliant idea, along with the games and book cupboard!Lovely to wake up and feed the ducks around the lakes and the scenery was just stunning.Hot tub spotlessly clean, and WiFi was great. We didn’t want to leave at the end of the long weekend!Had we had better weather, we would have planned to visit the local tea shop and horse sanctuary but unfortunately it was all closed due to the snow.Bottle of Prosecco and shortbread biscuits a lovely touch too and we will absolutely be looking to come back again!Thank you **
