  We’ve hired many a self catering place over the years but you really couldn’t wish for a better bolt hole to spend a week….

  or two! An amazing space for a group of 6-8 people, spacious enclosed garden, perfect if you own a dog and you also want a bit of privacy. Hot tub, garden chairs, loungers, large table to sit and eat at. Inside is a wonderful little rabbit warren downstairs. The bunk beds with separate shower room and loo plus the king bedroom with en-suite is on the ground floor. Upstairs two other bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Downstairs the kitchen is amazingly well stocked with pans, dishes, crock ware cups and glasses. We managed to cook up a roast dinner and had plenty of serving dishes etc to achieve this without any hassle. Biggest dining table you could ask for when self catering for the larger group. TV lounge spacious and very comfortable, two other rooms including a conservatory if you want to peel off from your group for a bit of quiet time. Even a utility room with washer & dryer, airier or pegs and basket if the weather is good to hang your swimming costumes outside on the line provided. Winterton on sea is just delightful, sea, sand dunes and cafés for a cuppa and something to eat after a long beach walk. If you want something less challenging underfoot (the sand dunes can be a bit hard on the ole calf muscles! :0) Sea Palling beach is a short drive with again a lovely sandy beach and café. Norwich, beautiful architecture and shopping plus is a short train ride from Gt Yarmouth if you don’t fancy driving. Evening eating, take aways available nearby and the Fisherman’s Return is a must, generous portions, lots of inside and outside seating with a friendly atmosphere. Finally, Nick the owner gives you all the information you require at the start of your holiday with contact numbers if you have any questions or problems (which we didn’t) lovely guy who deserves a five star review for offering a wonderful place to spend your holidays - thank you Nick

  We had a wonderful weekend for our daughter’s 25th birthday.

  The house is beautifully presented with everything you would need, and more, for a very comfortable break. We were very lucky with the weather and got to enjoy the balcony each day. We particularly liked watching the ducks on the pond and the golfers on the adjacent golf course. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need to prepare all sorts of meals. We appreciated the ample seating options for all the family, both inside and outside, which can sometimes be lacking in other holiday homes. There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area. We enjoyed a morning over the road at Redwings meeting the horses and donkeys with a break for lunch at the onsite cafe. We also visited Gorleston and Southwold beaches. Both have an ample parking and lots of options to dine out. Adnams brewery in Southwold is well worth a visit. The Five Bells at Wrentham offers a good menu with a range of options for all dietary requirements. Our daughter says their Sticky Toffee pudding is the best she has tasted. The Barn1 clubhouse onsite was good for evening drinks and serve a good breakfast. Sue the host kept us updated well with the relevant information and was available by phone for any enquiries. We would happily return and would recommend to anyone wishing to visit the area.

  We had a wonderful and supremely relaxing week away at Fallowfield.

  It is an absolutely superb, spacious property and Nick, the owner, was really helpful and responsive. The facilities were perfect in every way and if you have dogs or kids the enclosed garden was brilliant as they could run around to their heart's content and you could sit in the hot tub and watch them too if you liked, make use of the patio furniture or sit in the conservatory. It was minutes to the beach (via some steps) and the beach cafe wasn't far along, the village shop and tea room was lovely and the Fisherman's Return was great too. The owners also put an information booklet in the property to suggest other places to visit and I felt that nothing was too much trouble. It would be great for a large or extended family and there was plenty of parking with two sets of well built gates so you could shuffle cars around if you needed to. It is all very well considered at Fallowfield. We booked the property because our motorhome had a fault but I'm so glad we got to stay at Fallowfield. It was absolutely fantastic.   What a fantastic time we’ve had here! Myself, my partner & two other couples stayed for 3 nights over the New Year’s Eve weekend. We loved every minute of it. Sue has kitted the whole place out brilliantly and you literally couldn’t ask for anything else in there!! The scenery is so beautiful on the lake and my gosh we didn’t want to come home! Sue was a fantastic host, nothing was too much trouble and we barely needed communication as everything was perfect. We are hoping to organise another stay here as we loved it so much! The guys had a great time in the golf course too! We fed and saw the ducks waddling round & everyone we came into contact with on site was lovely, polite and helpful! Not to far from anything at all either!! If you’re debating whether to stay here then please take our review and book your stay! You sure won’t be disappointed!!   The Seaside House was perfect for our family Christmas holiday.

  We found the place clean, beautifully decorated for Christmas with Christmas tree and great house facilities. Thank you for the christmas welcome pack. We appreciated the gesture. The kitchen was well equipped for our cooking needs. The floor heating was the best andrest of the house was warm to our comfort. Spacious bedrooms and giving room to relaxing and good sleep conditions. We were surprised to find the place so well equipped better than most hotels. We thank the providers for kind considerations in fully equipping this home for our comfort. Walking distance to the beach and shopping facilities. The only issue was the steep stairs and no allocated parking. However, we managed to find parking and there was parking on main road which was helpful. We recommend this place for family quality times. We will be back for Christmas again.
