Lovely holiday. Overall a nice place to stay, as part of a working boat yard it does have people coming and going. The location is ideal for the coastal towns and various other destinations. Great lodge with 3 bed and 3 bathrooms. 2 nice big comfy beds but the singles beds could’ve done with a mattress up grade. Towels and a welcome basket supplied which was great. Did have an issue the first night but was rectified by the owners the next day. Various areas could do with an upgrade but were adequate for a weeks stay. Anyone visiting I suggest you take duck food! They love frozen peas and proper duck food. We saw quite a few different birds including kingfishers, herons and loads of other native birds. There are binoculars in the lodge but I would definitely download the Merlin app and that will help you recognise their calls.

A really relaxing place to stay! Lizzy was lovely, she was very friendly and helpful. Shopping for food is about 15mins away but the pub is at the end of the road which does tasty pub grub and dog friendly. I do recommend this house for it's location on the river which was very peaceful and stunning sunsets :)
