Explore the nearby Broads or unwind in the private enclosed lawn garden. Your furry friends are also welcome, making this retreat a home away from home. Embark on a leisurely stroll to the riverbanks of the River Thurne, or Martham village with its pretty village green and duck pond. The village pub and shop are also just a short walk away. For those craving the salt-kissed breeze and the sound of crashing waves, the seaside beckons just a short drive away.

Both beaches boast golden sands and dunes, with Winterton-on-Sea offering designated dog-friendly areas and a 6-mile circular walk along the nature reserve, where you might spot the local seal colony. Great cycling, walking, bird watching, and golf can all be enjoyed. The famous Norfolk Broads, with the village of Potter Heigham and Wroxham to enjoy daily river trips, boat hire, shops, riverside pubs, cafés, and restaurants.

The Barn was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It was warm, cozy and well equipped. Our hosts were welcoming and provided treats for us and our dogs, a very pleasant surprise. The kitchen is well equipped. The location is excellent for walking and close to numerous beaches.

I had a lovely few days staying at The Barn over Christmas with my dogs. The Barn is quiet, cosy and well equipped, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring the Broads and the coast. I have visited the area many times before for the walking and the beaches, and because there are many dog friendly pubs and places to visit. I would definitely recommend The Barn.

A lovely, comfortable place to stay with gorgeous surrounding countryside. The owners greeted us on arrival and left us some very welcome goodies, for us and our dog. The location was perfect for just a few days of relaxation, with shops close by if needed. 100% recommended.
