About this property

Set within 1.3 acres of landscaped gardens on the owners' land in the lovely village of Catfield, in the Norfolk Broads National Park, lies this delightful holiday home, Walnut Tree Cottage. Conveniently located within easy reach of local amenities and a characterful interior fit with plenty of home comforts, this home is an ideal base for a couple or group of friends to explore this scenic area. As you arrive, off-road parking makes unloading a breeze, while the entrance porch makes a great space for drying dogs. Make your way into the L-shaped sitting room where you can cosy up to watch the Smart TV. From here, the kitchen/diner has all you need for your self-catering stay, so you can whip up a tasty dinner to enjoy while you recount the day's adventures at the table. Upstairs, three neatly presented bedrooms offer space to rest; a double with an en-suite, a twin and a single for a flexible sleeping arrangement. Outside, spend the summer months in the charming garden, where your four-legged friends can stretch their legs. Stock up on the essentials at the nearby shop and Post Office or treat your loved ones to a meal at the local pub, The Crown Inn. You can also find a larger supermarket just a few miles away, where you can pick up everything you need for a picnic to take along to the beach, roughly 6 miles away. Wroxham, "The Capital of the Broads'' is just 9 miles away, while the popular seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is around 10 miles away. You’ll also find several National Trust properties nearby, including Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, both rich in history and grandeur, whilst East Ruston Gardens offers a tranquil setting to explore, dotted with pretty blooms, 32-acres of beautiful walks, and sub-tropical gardens. Find a wealth of attractions in the "Fine City'' of Norwich with theatres, shops, a castle, and a cathedral to keep you entertained, and just 17.7 miles from your home-from-home! Your canine companions can make the most of their trip too, with plenty of dog-friendly beaches dotted along the picture-perfect coast, and for the humans, a good selection of dog-friendly pubs. Make the most of the beautiful Norfolk Broads with a stay at Walnut Tree Cottage.

Norfolk's Catfield village is beautiful. The community is noted for its boat manufacturing industry, poet William Cowper, The Crown Inn, and Sarah's Kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and made us feel really welcome - thank you for the basket of goodies when we arrived - and for the card! Great location too - handy for jumping off to the broads and the coast. Nice and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Sharon and Tim could not have been more helpful. The location, cottage and facilities could not have been better. Lots of places to visit within easy reach. Very relaxing just sitting outside in the grounds. Easy reach for coast, country and the Broads. Pub and shop in the village. Thanks once again.
