Our fourth stay at Ayres Cottage, so obviously enjoy it. Everything you need for a peaceful, comfortable stay. Good walks from the door. Burnham Market easily walkable so handy for supplies. The Lord Nelson in Burnham Thorpe only 3 mins walk is friendly with excellent food & good beer. The other Lord Nelson in Burnham Market was also very nice & welcoming, can't wait to visit again when the kitchen is up & running.

We really enjoyed the snug feel to the cottage, the village and the kitchen facilities. It probably has the best Smart TV we've ever had in a cottage for those winter evenings, with Netflix, iPlayer and Prime etc all loaded, the wood burner worked fine and the bed was very comfortable with lovely bedding. The cottage is very convenient for an excellent village pub called The Lord Nelson (who originates from the village) where we ate a couple of times (excellent Sunday roast) as well as villages/towns such as BURNHAM MARKET, Holt, Wells and beaches/walks such as those at Brancaster, Holkham, Burnham Overy Staithe, Morston, Blakeney, Wiveton, Holt, Wells etc. There are a couple of useful small supermarkets close by such as the Nisa Local at Delegate market. where you can get logs etc.Would recommend for a 4 night or 7 nights as there really is so much to do in the immediate area.
