communal areas

THE round house - lounge AND dining area

The Round House offers a spacious open area for eating, relaxing, playing games, or gathering together, rain or shine. Featuring a pizza oven and the site kitchen, it truly forms the heart of the site. By night, it transforms into a softly lit retreat, illuminated by solar-powered LEDs, making it a lively social hub day and night.

Features a sound system powered by the same solar setup.

kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped with mugs, plates, bowls, cutlery, pots, pans, cooking utensils, and glasses - everything needed to cook, eat, and drink.

Complete with an enormous cool box (an old, unplugged chest freezer) that keeps ice cold for days. Please bring bags of ice to keep food chilled.

There are three butler sinks, one with hot water and two with cold drinking water.

Three double gas burners, but no oven.

Large and small BBQs are provided with charcoal, or try the pizza oven in the Round House - all wood supplied.

This communal space is perfect for preparing meals and eating together, either in the Round House or al fresco using the outside tables.

By night, solar-powered LED lighting illuminates the kitchen and Round House.

A separate sitting room teepee offers a snug retreat for cooler or wetter nights. There is a wood burner that can be lit for a cosy hangout on cooler or wet evenings.

THE shower & LOO block

(Fairground Carousel - Style Loo/Shower Lock)

Built from reclaimed doors and resembling a fairground carousel inside, this imaginative building houses flushable loos, power showers, basins, and plenty of hot water.

There are four showers and four toilets. The facility is solar powered with water supplied from a borehole drilled specifically for the site.

sleeping structures

THE bird houses (x5 - sleeps 10)

All Bird Houses have two single raised beds that can easily be pushed together to make a double. They feature solid wooden roofs extending down two sides, forming part of the walls, while the remaining walls are made from canvas, creating a light, airy feel and keeping the interior cool even in the height of summer.

Nestled among the trees behind the Meeting House, the Bird Houses offer peace and quiet while remaining close to the camp’s main amenities. Comfortable, sturdy, and low-impact, they provide a more rustic experience. With solar powered fairy lights.

THE railway carriages (x3)

Cattle Truck 1: 1x King size bed (sleeps 2)

Cattle Truck 2: 1x King size bed and bunk beds (sleeps 4)

Cattle Truck 3: 1x King size and 1x small child's bed (sleeps 3)

Over 100 years old, the first Converted Railway Carriage was originally purchased from the Station Master at Swaffham Station. Transported to Westacre in the 1970s on its steel wheels, pulled by four Shire Horses that once ploughed the fields. It was once a popular spot for estate shooting lunches and is now a glamping and camping space.

The original carriages have been refurbished and transformed into unique accommodation, bringing guests closer to nature.

Due to their popularity, two additional carriages were rescued and converted, each featuring solid wood panelling, large glass windows, and classic French enamel stoves for warmth and comfort through the night.

THE silos (x2)

Grain Silos 1: 1x King size bed and 1x singles (sleeps3)

Grain Silos 2: 1x King size bed and 1x singles (sleeps 3)

Perhaps the ultimate repurposed glamping and camping structures. Home to two silos that originally served as grain storage on one of the estate farms. Completely redesigned as sleeping spaces, these striking metal buildings offer a spacious, yurt-like experience.Fully insulated and wood-lined, each includes a double bed, a small single, and generous floor space suitable for an extra mattress or a child sleeping on the floor. A French enamel stove provides heating, and the circular layout creates a bright, flexible area perfect for board games or drawing, even in bad weather.

Situated a short distance from the Round House and the loo/shower block, the silos provide a peaceful retreat.

xenia - THE upturned boat (x1 - sleeps 4)

A firm favourite among visitors, Zenia features a reclaimed boat hull as its roof, salvaged from Blakeney and dating from around 1900. This unique structure has been transformed into an exceptional hut, with beds in the roof accessed by ladders, best suited to those feeling a bit agile

Sleeping up to four people (two at either end), it is ideal for a family or two couples. The hut sparks the imagination and offers a memorable stay.

A classic French enamel stove keeps the interior warm on chilly nights, while a table and old theatre seats provide a comfortable space to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.

THE teepees (x1 - sleeps 8)

Historically called a lodge, a teepee is essentially a large tent, traditionally made from animal skins stretched over wooden poles. This spacious wooden Dorm Teepee, offers a comfortable, warm and fun place to sleep.

Sleeping up to eight guests with one double and six single beds, all arranged around a cosy wood-burning stove, it provides a unique woodland experience.

4 tont tents

outside living

At the centre of the camp sits a large fire pit - a gathering place beneath the stars where owls and bats can be heard overhead.

Two barbecues with charcoal and firelighters supplied.

outside cooking

The open-sided kitchen includes cupboards, crockery, cutlery, utensils, and a plumbed sink with hot water for washing up and cold water for drinking.

Four gas hobs and two barbecues provide ample cooking options.

Three ice-filled cool boxes keep food and drinks chilled.

Two USB sockets are available for charging devices, with 4G reception on most networks.

HOT showers & loos

The site features flushable loos, powerful showers, basins, and a generous supply of hot water.

There are two showers, four loos, and an open-air bathtub.

Entirely solar powered, the facilities draw fresh water from a dedicated borehole.

A unique woodland wash area offers comfort and charm in the heart of nature.

3x sleeping army trucks

There is a table, chairs and bench area in each truck.

Truck 1: 1x Double Bed - Sleeps 2

Truck 2: 1x King size bed and bunk beds - Sleeps 4

Truck 3: 1x King size bed and bunk beds - Sleeps 4

The trucks are accessed by steep steps up to a platform and have a cover of weather-proof canvas with windows and roll up blinds, hence the name 4 ton tents!

Fairy lights and lanterns are provided to light the inside of the accommodation but the camp is not lit so bring torches!

Electricity

Designed with sustainability in mind, the site is a generator-free zone entirely powered by solar energy. The panels charge 12-volt batteries during the day, providing lighting at night, so there is no mains electricity on site. A few USB ports are available for phone charging, and the Round House features a sound system powered by the same solar setup. However, there are no 240-volt power sockets.

There is no Wi-Fi or 3G on site, although most networks provide a reliable phone signal.
