Guests say

The Old Stables is a spacious and well-equipped cottage in a peaceful location, ideal for walkers and dog owners, with easy access to local pubs, shops, and the coast. Guests consistently praise the secure garden, thoughtful touches, and excellent location. While the cottage is generally comfortable and cosy, some mention areas needing a deep clean, minor maintenance, and updates to furnishings. The welcome gifts are appreciated but not always provided. Overall, the property offers a relaxing and enjoyable stay, with many guests returning for repeat visits.

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, but several reviews mention the need for a deep clean, cobwebs, and some grubby furnishings. Cleanliness is generally acceptable but could be improved with more thorough attention, especially at the end of the season.

The location is highly praised, with guests enjoying proximity to Cley next the Sea, coastal walks, local pubs, and shops. The peaceful setting and easy access to walking routes are standout features.

The cottage is described as spacious, cosy, and comfortable, especially for dog owners. However, some guests found mattresses too soft or uncomfortable, and a few noted that sofas were tired or in need of replacement.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. Some guests noted missing items, outdated guides, and minor maintenance issues such as tired furnishings and weak WiFi. Heating is effective once understood.

Many guests appreciated welcome gifts such as cake, wine, and dog treats, which added a special touch to their stay. However, these gifts are not guaranteed for every guest, as a few reviewers noted inconsistency in their provision.

Really great price for a lovely little cottage, perfect for dog owners as there is a nice big, fully enclosed garden with lots of great walks right from your door.Within a 10-minute walk from shops, pubs and restaurants.

Lovely clean, spacious cottage near beautiful walks, beach, a (very expensive) grocer selling local produce, a cute bookshop and pottery, and 2 nice pubs. Enclosed garden for dogs. Could do with a few basic supplies, like bin bags, sugar and pegs for the line. Otherwise a decent amount of kitchen equipment. The front catches the afternoon sun nicely and the owner is responsive to any problems. Would stay again.
