Please note: Sorry, no stag or hen parties. Access is via a footpath only.. Manderley really is a rare find. There are sea views and then there are these sea views, totally uninterrupted and seeming to go on for nautical miles! You really do have to be in this terraced house and experiencing them to understand how amazing this location actually is. With those coastal views from all front-facing rooms whether you choose a sunny or a blustery break, you will always be inspired by the sights and sounds of this true seaside escape.

A light, airy and spacious living room with floor-to-ceiling glass opens on to a large outside terrace with safety glass screens overlooking the sea and providing the perfect place for your morning coffee or evening sundowner. Three of the bedrooms will surely tempt you to sleep with the curtains flung wide open too as you can watch the sunrise over the coastline right from the comfort of your own bed. In fact, the shape of this part of the coast is unique in that you can catch beautiful sunrises and sunsets both from the same spot and it isn’t unknown for Sheringham to enjoy glimpses of the Northern Lights at certain points of the year, too.

Of course, all that sea air will boost your appetite and Manderley has a very well-equipped kitchen waiting for you to whip up some culinary delights, although you needn’t cook as you are also right in the heart of the bustling town-centre which is packed with great eateries.

The town and its sand and shingle beach is a firm favourite with the locals who come here to enjoy a spot of sunbathing or a lovely walk while exploring the artisan and boutique shops that the town has to offer. Sheringham also plays host to some fantastic events throughout the year including its much celebrated Viking Festival, 1940s weekend and summer carnival. You are also in the perfect position to explore the Thursford Collection, Sheringham Park, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and rspb Cley Marshes, North Norfolk Heritage Railway, the Blickling, Holkham and Houghton Estates and so much more. This location is great for those wanting to explore the beautiful Broads and the chic city of Norwich too. What a great choice for your much needed holiday! Beach 175 yards.

    Great location and fantastic views, house was warm regardless of the weather. Good facilities within house . Minor issue upstairs toilet very small. Furniture a bit tired looking, could do with a few more cooking dishes for 7 people as house can sleep 8. Beds very comfortable with good linen. We had a brilliant week with family and weather was kind to us for October. No parking wasn’t an issue but needed planning when taking short trips out. Thank you.

    Manderley is the perfect place to unwind, take in the beautiful seaside views and explore the quaint little town of Sheringham on your doorstep.The house is bright and spacious with a lovely homely feel. All rooms are decorated to a high standard together with a fully fitted functioning kitchen, large lounge and conservatory, two bathrooms and a toilet on each floor. It also welcomes dogs which allows the whole family to enjoy a wonderful holiday together.To top it all, the lounge and most of the bedrooms offer spectacular views over the beach and sea.5 stars doesn't rate this property enough, it's a very special place 💗

    This was our 3rd family holiday in Sherringham but our first stay at Mandelay. It is right on the sea front so the views from the bedrooms are amazing however the view from the lounge is poor as unlike the other properties in this row who have opened up the living room wall this one hasn't so you need to stand up to get a view.There is only 1 TV in the entire property over 3 floors . There is no carpet throughout the property making it very noisy . The internal doors are the original gate doors which add character they have large gaps underneath allowing noise . The latches are very noisy so again everytime anyone uses the toilet at night everyone hears you . So big family parties have lots of noise and not much privacy .The curtains are white and very thin so by 5am you are all awake . No good when you are trying to keep babies to sleep in . Everyone is awake . On weekend days you get entertainment right outside the property with the salvation army band and other groups buskers etc setting up right outside the back . Outside the front door is a big low tree which pigeons sit and deposit constantly if you leave anything out it will get covered. The outside area had 2 very old pub table/bench combinations. The patio was again completely covered in pigeon mess soil and had clearly not been swept/cleaned for a long time .We had to remove all the moss off the walls as our granddaughter kept leaning on them getting her clothes spoilt. There was no effective broom /hosepipe etc to clean the patio or effective drainage for the rainwater .The property could be amazing if it was maintained and a good deal of money invested it is in the best location and I think they play on that knowing it will get booked. The house was clean and had a modern kitchen. The bathrooms are OK. It is one of the few 4 bedroom accommodation on the sea front which is why we booked it . Unlikely we would book again .
