It’s a great choice for families and friends who want sandy beach days, wildlife-rich walks and easy downtime together. Head to Wells Beach, 200 metres away, for soft sand and pine-backed dunes, or make your way into the harbour town (1.5 miles), for independent shops, bakeries and traditional fish and chips along the quay. Holkham Hall (3.5 miles) offers grand architecture, gardens and seasonal events, while the surrounding reserve is famous for its migrating birds. An on-site shop stocks local produce and everyday essentials, and the park’s electric bus offers a handy alternative to walking into town.

Accessed via three wooden steps, the single-storey lodge welcomes you into a light-filled open-plan living space designed for sociable gathering. The lounge frames the view through panoramic glazing and sliding doors, with a three-seater sofa, two armchairs and an ottoman set around a coal-effect electric fire and an entertainment unit with a TV. The dining area seats everyone comfortably for homemade suppers and fun board games. Adjacent, the sociable U-shaped kitchen provides generous worktops and a breakfast bar with stools, beneath a roof window that draws in extra daylight. When it is time to turn in, the main bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room with a WC. Two further bedrooms each offer twin beds and storage for your holiday belongings. A family bathroom completes the layout with a shower over the bath and a WC, ideal for a relaxing soak after time on the sand.

Outside, sliding doors open to a large wraparound deck with rattan-style seating for slow mornings, and a dining table beside a gas BBQ for easy outdoor meals. Guests have shared use of on-site facilities, including a shop, a launderette, a children’s playground, a woodland play area, and allotments where fresh produce is grown and can be purchased. Parking for two cars is provided directly outside.
