While it is a village, Mundesley itself boasts lots of places to eat and drink and of course has a wide sandy beach which is considered by many to be one of the best in the area. With all of this just footsteps away, you may be tempted to park up at Driftwood House and spend your whole holiday right there but venture a little further and you will find much to see and do. Head east or west to discover a string of coastal villages and towns including Cromer, with its famous pier and Happisburg with its picturesque lighthouse. Or, head inland and be in the heart of the Norfolk Broads in under half an hour. History Buffs will enjoy exploring the medieval city of Norwich, the Blickling Hall Estate, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections or one of the numerous local museums. The young at heart will enjoy a day out at Bewilderwood or Amazonia Zoo and nature lovers will also be spoilt for choice with Cley Marshes within easy reach too. After a great day exploring, you can return to Driftwood House and relax in that amazing hot tub. Beach 300 yards. Shop 220 yards, pub and restaurant 330 yards.

A lovely comfortable house, there were 8 of us different generations found the beds comfortable. There was plenty of space for us all, the seating in the living area was comfortable all seats recline. The wood burner made it very cozy. The kitchen was well equipped with new pans, had everything we needed. Hot tub was a bonus. The owner called us ahead to let us know the house was ready for us early on our arrival day. Would recommend

Amazing house, well furnished with fantastic kitchen, only criticism is the frying pans need replacing, everything else was great, plenty of crockery and cutlery. We even managed a roast dinner very easily.Cleanliness was pretty good except for the floor, had our 17 month grandson with us, it made his socks and trousers quite grubby.Plenty of room, lovely having two en-suites, beds comfortablePlenty of parking, could possibly even get four cars on the driveLock box for back door (into the kitchen/dining room) is next to the garage rather than next to the side door, slightly confusingGood location to walk to the local village and beachHad a lovely time here and would use again

The inside of the property was clean but the equipment in the kitchen was average, plus all of the frying pans and woks were burnt and frankly unusable really. We were also forever washing up mugs as there weren’t enough of them. Didn’t want to risk using the BBQ as it was filthy dirty and looked mouldy in parts. The Welcome Pack is basic and only contains UHT milk, just like you’d get in a Travelodge. It would’ve been a nice touch to have found a pint of fresh milk in the fridge to go with the tea, coffee and biscuits provided for you after a long journey to start your holiday. We stayed in this property last October and our comments and suggestions for improvement from that visit haven’t ever been acknowledged or acted upon, which is disappointing.
