The village of Bacton offers lovely walks, a village shop, an excellent fish and chip shop, Chinese takeaway/restaurant, burger, pie and mash vans at the village shop car park and two cafés (one vegan cafe/restaurant/bar). Look out for events at the village hall. Additionally, there is a pub with restaurant in nearby Walcott, a shop with post office cafe and fish and chip shop. Bacton Woods is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic, and it has great walking trails. There is a good children’s playground within 2 minutes walking distance, also offering additional free parking for the property.
The traditional seaside resorts of Cromer, 11 miles, and Sheringham, 15 miles, offer fun at the seaside, or Wroxham, 13 miles, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads National Park, where you can hire a day launch or join a cruise and watch the world drift by. Perfect for families is Bewilderwood at Horning, an outdoor adventure park. Another firm favourite is the Dinosaur Park at Lenwade, offering both outside and inside fun, including a splash park for warmer days. Avid gardeners can make a visit to The Old Vicarage Gardens at East Runton to enjoy the extensive gardens, its tearoom with tasty cakes, and the Sheringham National Trust Park. Other National Trust properties including Felbrigg and Blickling Halls, ideal for lovers of history. The Royal Cromer and Mundesley golf courses will not disappoint golfing enthusiasts.
Why not enjoy the chance to spot hundreds of grey seals and pups along the shore at Horsey beach, between December and February. The city of Norwich is 21 miles away and offers two excellent indoor shopping malls, market square, theatre, cinema complexes, castle museum, cathedral, cafés, restaurants and pubs. Sea fishing and beach 700 yards. Restaurant 350 yards. Shop and pub 1400 yards.

Had a lovely weekend break at Little Garth, loved the character and quirkiness of the cottage, short walk from lovely beach for the dogs and local amenities. would definately recommend a visit !

We had an amazing stay at Little Garth. The house is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was clean and well maintained. The location was spot on for us; nice and quiet and a few mins walk from Bacton beach which is one of the best UK beaches I’ve visited.Overall a wonderful stay and we were sad to leave!
