Otters Cottage in Norwich offers a prime location with easy access to local amenities and attractions. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. While some furnishings and decor are noted as dated, the property's cleanliness and stunning views over the marina are highlights. The welcoming atmosphere and potential for a delightful stay are consistently mentioned.
The property is generally described as clean, with specific praise for the kitchen and bedding. However, some guests noted areas that require attention, such as cooking trays and saucepans that needed washing before use, and a few comments about outdated and worn furnishings.
The location is highly praised for its convenience to local restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and the Norfolk Broads. The proximity to attractions and the peaceful setting with marina views contribute to its high rating.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the property spacious. However, there are several mentions of the lounge suite and television needing updates, and some comments about chilly downstairs bedrooms, which slightly lower the comfort score.
The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, but there are recurring comments about the need for updates and maintenance, such as broken blinds and leaking radiators. The presence of a well-written instruction booklet is a positive aspect.
Guests have mentioned welcome pack items, which indicates thoughtfulness. However, it is important to note that such gifts are a kind gesture and may vary, hence not guaranteed for every stay.

Lovely property and great location, perfect for catching up with friends. Well equipped and warm, ideal for watching the snowy weather outside. PS: we got a nice selection of sandwiches from “Crumbs” for an impromptu picnic lunch!

The house was find for us as a family rooms had enough space to be comfy, kitchen and dining areas well equipped, location perfect for the pub and restaurants, boat tour etc. yes it needs a bit of modernisation but it’s fine and for what you are paying it’s good value. Someone is always going to find fault that’s life. It was great for us and we have just booked again for later in the year for a few days.
