Very pleasant flat with all we needed for our stay. Comfy bed, good shower and the case of tulips was a welcome touch. Most convenient for the Bowes Museum, town and river walks. Some books and games would have been good.

A lovely ground floor apartment in the centre of Barnard Castle. It had everything we needed and was scrupulously clean. A very convenient parking space directly outside. The only concerns were that the shower tray filled with water very quickly on taking a shower and would have overflowed onto the floor had it not been spotted. The drain was unable to cope with the shower flow. The night storage radiators were not very effective especially in the bedroom. Fortunately the weather improved a couple of days into our stay and the apartment warmed up.

Location and cleanliness great. Electric heating which came on over night but was sometimes cold at other times and no info on heating - think this type of heating should be in details of accommodation. Felt lounge was old fashioned and not that comfortable - one arm chair which wasn't at all comfortable and a tiny, tiny 'settee' which you couldn't properly relax on. Also tiny dining table but massive foot stool, a mix of many different styles of furniture. Don't feel owners have stayed there as there are many things missing/aren't practical.
