A group of forty-somethings having a get together with a hot tub, pubs in walking distance and some nice walks in the local area. Tick, tick, tick. Add in your very own bar and a lovely, helpful owner - and it is so good, weâre already planning a return trip. The property is immaculate, well equipped, comfy beds and spacious. I donât know about you, but when youâre are heading to self catering type properties youâre always wondering, will it have⦠(hand towels, tea towels, oven gloves, towels, enough plates and glasses, washing up stuff) the list is endless, but the answers are all yes. Thank you Peter for a wonderful stay and your advice on local places to eat out and go for walks - and your thoughtful arrival gift. See you again soon.

Peter was very helpful and gave us lots of useful local info. Loved the house, very comfortable and homely and had everything you could need. Because the hot tub was under cover it meant it could be used whatever the weather. Had the best Sunday lunch at The Crown and pizzas from The Blacksmiths Arms- very good. Lovely local walks. Go along the old railway line to Middleton and stop at the excellent Samuel James cafe then walk back along the river, lovely area.

We were celebrating an 18th birthday and all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything about this place was perfect, although having a dryer would be easier for drying towels. The cleanliness was superb and the host Peter was very welcoming and answered all of our enquiries. I would say spend as much time as you can in the house especially the bar or the hot tub, however if you do venture out the two local pubs were lovely. Sunday lunch at The Crown was beautiful and having a pint at the Blacksmith Arms was spot on. We would all definitely recommend staying at this beautiful house and we will 100% be back! Thank you very much for having us! See you again soon!
