Reviewers consistently mention the property's spotless condition and high standards of cleanliness, indicating meticulous maintenance and attention to detail.

The property's location is highly praised for its stunning views and serene setting, with easy access to local walks and attractions. However, one review mentioned proximity to a busy road as a concern, slightly impacting the score.

The facilities, including the hot tub, sauna, and games room, are frequently highlighted as highlights of the stay. The well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches like heated towel rails are appreciated. A minor note on the absence of a Pilates/Yoga space and a suggestion for shower safety features for disabled guests slightly affect the score.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through the warm welcome, helpfulness, and special touches like homemade bread. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed.

.all 3 generations were catered for by the available facilities. The welcome treats though unexpected were a lovely thoughtful gesture appreciated by us all ! Everything you could need was available and it was immaculate throughout. We were all really impressed and nobody wanted to leave lol so we are all sorting schedules to return next year for a longer period of time. A credit to the owners who kindly popped in to make sure we were happy with everything not long after we arrived which was also really appreciated. If you are considering this property for your break away all I can say is don’t hesitate you will not be disappointed!!

It was perfect for a group of three generations, with the ground floor for grandparents and kids up at the top. Stunning views, two comfy living spaces, the amazing hot tub and games room, and a lovely welcoming pub just over the road. Really well supplied with all the kitchen kit you could ever need, and a massive fridge - the only improvement might be another jumbo-sized saucepan for big dinners. Karen and her family were on hand to answer any questions. There's even board games and an excellent array of holiday reading on the bookshelf if you fancy a rest! I'd recommend the little walk down towards the village, along the brow of the hill and down to the beck for a wade on a hot day. Really delighted to have found Jacob's Lodge and we'll definitely keep it on our list for big family get-togethers. PS Karen I'm sorry we forgot to write in the visitor's book!
