The property's location is frequently praised for its stunning views and proximity to beautiful countryside walks. The facilities at Jacob's Lodge, including the hot tub, sauna, and games room, are a hit among guests. The well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of leisure suites are also appreciated. A minor suggestion for shower shelves and a comment on the suitability for disabled guests indicate room for improvement.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident through the welcome treats such as homemade bread, cake, and biscuits mentioned by several reviewers. While these gestures are warmly received, it is important to note that such personal touches, although likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

We were a party of 12 with little ones, teenagers and other varying ages and it was perfect for them all. The house is immaculate and the 6 en-suites and family bathroom really appreciated. The layout of the kitchen, dining and living room areas work very well and members of the party can go to the hot tub and sauna or to the games room (a full size pool table would have been the icing on the cake). The little ones can go to the second sitting room to watch a film when necessary or others can watch football on a bigger screen. To top it all the surrounding countryside is really beautiful. All in all a perfect holiday home.

Everything we needed was supplied including tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the fridge for our arrival. Also the fab smell of baking bread, we loved the bread and biscuits left for us, nice touch. Only a slight complaint from us ladies of a certain age, it was very hot in the house and we couldnât turn down the heating. Most slept with windows open but we were reluctant to do this on ground floor. Absolutely recommend the lodge and hope to visit in the summer sometime in the future.

The Lodge is AMAZING and has everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked up with everything you will need to stay here for a week +. There is an iron, washing machine, hairdryer etc so you don't need to pack heavy! Hot tub and games room was a HUGE hit with the kids, in the summer you can open it all up but it was definetly a good idea to keep it closed during these freezing months! The bedrooms apart from 1 all have en suites which is great and very handy when there is so many of you. The beds were very comfy! The communication from Karen the owner was excellent and she was so helpful! It is a 2 min walk to the pub but we didn't go. The view is stunning and I can imagine in the summer it's amazing to sit out and go on a walk. I would highly recommend this place. We didn't want to go home!!!
