When it comes to cooking up a storm, the spacious kitchen is ready to cater to all of your culinary needs, with loads of space for guests to cook together, as well as many amenities, a large dining table for all guests and a vintage hanging clothes horse, and there is a second dining room with a patterned old-fashioned carpet and beautiful bay windows. There is a rear garden with a patio, sporting a sitting area from which you can enjoy the surrounding countryside and mature shrubs, with the church and historic buildings peeking out from behind the water and the tops of the trees, a truly lovely space for a cup of tea. Alnmouth is a fantastic coastal town housing the estuary at the mouth of the River Aln, a great spot for wildlife and scenic walks, as well as a fantastic sandy beach ideal for watersports and wild swimming. Alnmouth offers a selection of eateries where you can enjoy a hot meal, as well as a local golf course, access to the England Coast Path leading from Amble to Bamburgh, and a local gallery. Travel a little further and you can explore the wonderful historic market town of Alnwick, where there are riverside walks through Hulne Park, many independent shops, tasty eateries and last but certainly not least, the incredible Alnwick Castle. Indulge in the history and scenery of Northumberland with a stay at the charming Garden House.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
