It is comfortable and the fittings and furnishings are very good. It was generally clean but down the sides of beds and behind the TV was covered in dust and cobwebs so had not been fully cleaned for some time. The vacuum cleaner supplied to âleave the house as foundâ was full and not really working and no replacement bags could be found. In general, hire cottages supply a few dishwasher tablets/ 1 or 2 bin bags/ a dish cloth/ and more than 1 loo roll but these were not provided so a shopping trip was needed soon after arrival. The radiators across the whole apartment were intermittent- so perhaps some bleeding and balancing is needed. However, even with these few niggles- we had a lovely stay and our dogs loved lying out in the front garden watching the world go by.

Spacious and comfortable. Location is perfect. Well stocked with crockery, pans etc. Will definitely book again. The only reason I havenât left 5 stars is we arrived in the dark to find the house was open. That the key had not be returned to the key safe and was on the kitchen counter. Gave us a bit of a nervous feeling about entering and we couldnât get hold of the agent or owner, given the time, to know why the situation was. We did feed this back to the agent the following day. A few more bin bags and toilet rolls wouldnât go a miss, along with a dish cloth if possible. Always helpful

The potential for an excellent rating is impacted by some short sighted rather mean provisions such as one cheap toilet roll in each bedroom, one log for the stove and no cleaning materials (self defeating if wish the accommodation left as it was found).
