However, there were two issues. For some reason the under-stair cupboard had a powerful unpleasant smell. The extractor fan cover in the kitchen was well due a clean. I think previous users had been cooking up fatty food. Letting air flow through the house when we were out sorted one of these issues. In terms of location it is perfect and the view as you step out of the house and look through the farm buildings to the sea is stunning.

A lovely welcome gift of teas, coffee and cake was left for us. The heating broke down on the second day after we arrived, which was a Sunday, but Catherine dealt with it really quickly, provided heaters until it could be repaired by her dad (Brian) the following day. A lovely cottage, would recommend it, my only negative comment would be that the bedding could do with updating. We always strip the beds when we leave a self-catering house and the duvets were clean, but had some old stains on them. Thanks to Catherine and the family for a lovely stay. .

Everything we needed. Lovely setting. Catherine was on hand if we needed anything but didn’t. A lovely place for a relaxing stay
