Sleeping six guests in three well-presented bedrooms, this holiday home is the perfect getaway to explore the Northumberland heritage coastline and vast countryside. The accommodation is set over three floors; the living area is a cosy place where you can relax in front of the 65" Smart TV. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped for cooking and sitting around chatting. On the first floor are two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and TV, and the second with twin beds. The third bedroom is on the second floor and has a kingsize bed, TV and en-suite shower room. To the rear is a small patio area with seating. When you’re ready to begin exploring this historic town, begin with a trip to the incredible and famous Alnwick Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the UK and used as ‘Hogwarts’ when filming scenes for the ‘Harry Potter’ films, so it’s a must-visit for any fans. Alnwick Garden is also an exciting visit with its spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall, poison garden and largest tree house in Europe where guests can dine in the restaurant. Heading 4 miles east is the picture-perfect coastal village of Alnmouth where there is a gorgeous golden sandy beach.
A short drive west brings you to the small town of Rothbury, found nestled at the foot of the Simonside Hills and where the River Coquet ebbs and flows. A 20-minute drive north brings you to the pretty fishing village of Seahouses, exploring a great selection of shops, inns, pubs, and eateries, plenty here to keep you entertained. Embark on a waterfront adventure and take a boat trip out to the Farne Islands where you can visit a bird sanctuary and spot seals for a truly memorable experience or walk down the promenade to nearby Bamburgh with its imposing castle, rnli Grace Darling museum and golf club. As soon as I walked into Fox House I was stunned by how immaculate, spacious and comfortable it was. The bedrooms were large with comfortable beds and large modern tvs.The kitchen was up to date with everything you could need including a dishwasher & washing machine.The settee in the livingroom was comfortable with yet another large tv.The host had gone the extra mile by providing milk, wine , quality tea& coffee and biscuits. There were also books and games available.I hope to return again soon.

Situated in a quiet cul- de-sac about 10 minutes walk from the town centre, Fox House is an excellent place to stay when visiting Alnwick. We found the house very clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We had no complaints, and would definitely stay here again.
