Close by is Warkworth, another popular village with its castle ruins, tea shops and galleries which can be reached on foot, approximately 2 miles. Stunning walks along the coastline on this stretch of the coast and Bamburgh with its fortress of a castle should not be missed. Enjoyed our stay. No, that’s it or - who knows The Magic of the Black Magic Box. There was Security Deposit to pay and this fact was made clear enough when booking. Suggest that fact is made clear with all other costs. Not hidden away under “other information”

The apartment is a huge duplex with 3 bathrooms which is great for the 3 generations holiday that we had. There is a lift so even though it's on the 3rd floor, it's not a problem to get up to it. It has its own parking space, which was fab for Alnmouth, where parking is difficult. The view from the windows is over the estuary which is nice. It really is within easy walk of the pubs, restaurants and shops. Its a bit futher to the beach but we walked it.It has most equipment that you need but some of the pans could do with being replaced. Similar, bring your own sharp knives (a normal problem for holiday rentals). It has good quality appliances and was clean.I was surprised that for the general high quality of the flat, that simple staples like salt, pepper and sugar were not provided. There was a nice starter pack of tea, coffee, some biscuits and fudge. There was also some washing up liquid, 3 dishwasher tablets, a dish cloth, some tea towels and one toilet roll per bathroom. (this might seem a odd thing to put in a review, but I find it useful to know what to bring).Overall, we had a great stay and would return if staying in Alnmouth.
