A short stroll from your townhouse will take you to the world famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens, a complex of formal gardens, fountains, poison garden and one of the world's largest wooden tree houses. From there, pass underneath the Bondgate Tower and you are in the centre of Alnwick which has lovely shops and enticing tea rooms. Alnwick is an attractive and historic market town in Northumberland and is known for the dominating Alnwick Castle, the home of the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens opened to the public in 2002 and are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a magnificent treehouse, a delightsome rose garden and a beautiful, walled ornamental garden. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films!
