A charming, terraced cottage overlooking the pier in Amble, Northumberland, Pier View offers attractive accommodation which is ideal for a family holiday. Guests will find a warm and welcoming living space greeting them as they walk in with ample seating, an inglenook fireplace with stove-effect fire and an elegant dining area, all adding up to create a really inviting ambience. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything needed to rustle up delicious food for the whole family and has another less formal dining area, a great spot for pulling up a chair, pouring a glass of your favourite tipple and keeping the designated chef company.
If the weather is warm enough there is a small but perfectly formed outside patio area where you can enjoy time alfresco breathing in the fresh Northumberland air and really relaxing into the holiday spirit. When it’s time for bed, guests can choose from a double or a twin; both are well-presented and offer a restful place to recharge batteries. There is a fish centre on the side of the harbour that is now primarily a shell fish hatchery to re-stock levels of lobster and other shell fish, this sells local fish and is open to the public. Nice touch and appreciated. The only thing was, there was missing towels, but this was immediately resolved. Owner dropped the towels within minutes of us contacting her. Everything else was great. Fantastic location. Would book again.

Parts are a bit tired and stains on carpet but house itâs self is warm and plenty of space.

The patio at the back was handy for sitting out in the sun (in March!) The owner was very welcoming and helpful. My dog and I hope to return when the beach is accessible to dogs again in the Autumn
