Guests generally appreciate the cottage's peaceful atmosphere, comfortable beds, and secure garden, ideal for dogs. Its prime location in Bamburgh offers easy access to the beach and local amenities. While some guests encountered issues with heating and appliances, the recent refurbishments and cleanliness are well-received. The property's thoughtful touches, such as providing milk and biscuits, are noted.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is frequently described as clean, with several guests specifically praising its cleanliness. However, a few reports of uncut grass, dog waste, and dirty windows suggest occasional oversights.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Bamburgh's attractions, including the beach, castle, and local eateries, making it an ideal spot for visitors.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, especially the beds. Some guests, however, found the sofas and seating uncomfortable, which affects the overall comfort score.

Facilities are well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as heating problems, appliance difficulties, and garden upkeep that need addressing.

Guests often mention and appreciate the thoughtful gestures like leaving milk, biscuits, and wine. While these gifts enhance the experience, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Bamburgh is one of Northumberland's most popular tourist destinations, thanks to its sweeping sandy beaches and majestic fortification, Bamburgh Castle. This stretch of the county's coastline is dominated by the castle, which can be seen for miles. It is still home to the family of Lord Armstrong, the prominent Victorian industrialist, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Bamburgh village is lovely, despite being overshadowed by the huge castle, with clean grey stone homes facing a manicured town green. Excellent taverns, hotels with restaurants, and a limited range of village shops may all be found here. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and neighbouring Seahouses, and along the magnificent Heritage Coast, there are additional wide sandy beaches, delightful fishing villages, stunning castles, and coastal islands to explore. A short drive away are a number of other sights, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and Berwick-upon-Tweed, a historic walled border town. A fantastic starting point for exploring Northumberland.

The location is perfect for a young family like ours. Close to the beach and local amenities. A lovely big garden for our boys to play in with the dog safely only slight downside to us was the WiFi. Not good at all and we did contact the people looking after us and it didn’t improve but hey ho we tried.

The owners need to check the property after it supposedly been cleaned and damaged items also check everything works before the new guests alot of lack of communication between them the windows are filthy you open the double glazed doors and look at the frame work never been cleaned the Pyrex dishes in the kitchen cupboards obviously been cleaned in the dishwasher all stains and smears on the glass hate to think how you live

Well located, Bamburgh is small so you're always close to everything, 10/15 minute walk to the fabulous beach, excellent facilities and a brilliant enclosed garden which is perfect for the dog. The only minor issues we raised were dealt with immediately by the management company and were due to a lack of information to be honest. There were no instructions for the cooker hob, the wifi code is in the back bedroom under the router but there's nothing to tell you that. We struggled with a lack of hot water for the four days, again there was no information about the heating/water system. Minor issues which are easily rectified and I'm sure will be. Not many places we'd go back to but this is definitely one of them.
