  We were guests of our son and wife and their three children for a short break. The house is extremely well furnished and appointed. The rooms are spacious, and comfortable and the bathrooms are the ultimate luxury. Our dog settled in nicely. There’s a kid’s room and a lovely big comfortable lounge. The kitchen and dining area are similarly expansive and well-equipped. We couldn’t fault this place. It’s a short walk to the local hotels, pubs and importantly to the gorgeous cricket field and croquet area and really good children’s playground and a recently refurbished tennis court under the view of the castle. The best beach you can find is just a little further on. Sit on a chair on top of one of the dunes behind the cricket pavilion with one of the ten best views in England and enjoy the history of Garce Darling in her museum and the churchyard. Try rock pooling. Visit Lilidorei at Alnwick Castle. Great for kids and adults too! Book online.

  Marram House really did feel like a home away from home. You’ve thought of everything- from games/toys to keep the kids entertained to a 2nd fridge to keep our beer/ wine cool. The beds were comfortable, lovely bathrooms and everything was immaculately clean. The weather was mixed during our trip and therefore one day we sat out on the patio in the sunshine and the next we used the wood burner for a cosy night in playing board games. Marram House is really well located in the centre of Bamburgh- a stone’s throw from The Potted Lobster, a restaurant we particularly enjoyed and 2 minutes walk from the stunning Bamburgh beach and castle. We enjoyed a boat trip to the nearby Farne islands one day which is certainly recommend (Billy Shiel’s boats) and enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Craster Arms at Beadnell. A thoroughly enjoyable trip, full of memories we will treasure. We will be back!

  This was our second visit to Marram House and again we were not disappointed. The location of the house is a one-minute walk to pubs, restaurants and local shops. It’s a definite bonus having space to park three cars on the drive. The kitchen is such a social area and has everything you could possibly need. The living area and bedrooms are individually decorated and spacious. We had wonderful sunny weather and were able to take advantage of the BBQ in the garden after pre-ordering provisions from the local butcher. The house is so comfortable and welcoming that it makes it so easy to keep revisiting.

  Marram House is absolutely wonderful. It is homely, light, spacious and very clean. The bedding is wonderful and the beds are super comfy. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need. We enjoyed having breakfast outside in the garden, enjoying the morning sunshine. It is in the most fantastic part of the village with the outside parking being an absolute bonus. Lauren was super helpful and we even got an email asking if everything was alright! In a nutshell – a wonderful holiday home rental, in the heart of this amazing village. Thank you!

  We stayed at Marram House for a long weekend and all I can say is wow! The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the attention to detail is outstanding. Centrally located, on a road just behind the castle, there are beautiful places to eat just a few doors away – although the house is so spacious, light and generally gorgeous that staying in felt like a treat too! We will 100% be returning to Marram House, and can’t recommend it highly enough – it’s the perfect home away from home.
