Set in a picturesque paddock at South Berrington, 7.5 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed, it sleeps up to four guests and is ideal for those who are keen to immerse themselves in nature. Stride off on rural walks from the hut or venture 5 miles to the beautiful beach at Goswick, where you can stroll on the sand or pick up the Northumberland Coast Path. Head 7.5 miles to the Holy Island Causeway to walk the ancient 3-mile Pilgrim’s Way across the tidal sands to Lindisfarne. Make a trip into Berwick-upon-Tweed to explore the walled town, follow the L.S. Lowry Trail and pause for a bite to eat in a friendly pub or cafe. Take a boat trip out to see the puffins and seals from Seahouses, 20 miles away.

Three steps lead up to this charming shepherd's hut, which has been beautifully finished and intelligently designed to offer exceptional comfort while also maximising space. Well insulated and with both a tubular heater and a flame-effect heater, the abode stays toasty and warm even through the colder months. Switch on the DAB radio and prepare light meals and snacks for you and your companions in the compact kitchen. Dine together at the extendable table inside or outside at the picnic table in the fresh air and sunshine. The indoor seating area is the perfect spot for unwinding with your book during the daytime. At night, it can be cleverly converted into bunk beds for those with little ones in tow. The main king-size bed, which has storage underneath, is tucked cosily into one end of the hut, with the shower room at the other end.

Enjoy your tranquil outside space on fine mornings. Sit down to breakfast, lunch and dinner at the picnic table, where you can absorb the views, listen to the birdsong and watch for local wildlife as you dine. Light the fire pit and bask in its heat as the day draws to a close and the dark starry skies will amaze you. Please supervise children and dogs at all times, as your outdoor space is not enclosed.
