Cherry Tree Cottage in Embleton, Northumberland, is generally well-received for its fabulous location, comfortable accommodation, and thoughtful touches from the owner. Guests appreciate the spacious garden, proximity to scenic walks and beaches, and the cosy atmosphere. While there is a mention of a very unclean experience by one guest, others have found the cottage clean and welcoming.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed. While most guests found the cottage clean and comfortable, one review highlighted significant cleanliness issues. This suggests that experiences may vary, but the majority of feedback is positive.
The location is highly praised for its dark skies, wonderful countryside, and easy driving distance to local attractions. The scenic walks and peaceful environment contribute to a high score in this category.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a particularly cosy upstairs area and comfortable beds. However, one review mentioned that the downstairs area could be a little cold due to heater defects, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are generally good, with mentions of a huge bathtub and enclosed garden. However, there are concerns about maintenance issues such as defective heaters, bathroom problems, and electrics tripping, which affect the score.
The owner's thoughtfulness is noted with the provision of welcome goodies, including a bottle of fizz. While these gestures are appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts are a bonus and not a guaranteed amenity.

The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs which was a huge plus. The cottage itself was comfortable and lovely and had everything one could need. There are enjoyable walks on the doorstep, and of course the splendid beaches of Embleton and Beadnell are just minutes drive away. Would definitely recommend this property. In fact, will probably rebook next year.
