Down a peaceful leafy lane just a mile from the heart of the historic market town of Hexham, this spacious, traditional stone house sits in its own south-facing garden. Near the owner’s home, it provides comfortable and well-equipped holiday accommodation. Perhaps the most romantic of all Northumbrian towns, Hexham offers a good selection of shops, restaurants and inns, together with an excellent golf course and National Hunt racing. Kielder Water and Newcastle are both 24 miles. Scottish borders easily accessible. Sports centre, fishing and riding locally. Shops 1 mile.

Fluffy towels and clean bedding, lots of hot water, but the house was tired and cobwebby. Also there were ants in the kitchen.

I was very pleased with the cottage, very dog friendly, with a secure garden for them to explore. Ideally situated for exploring the local area.

Lovely cottage where we spent Xmas and cooked dinner on the Agar. Owners very helpful and nearby if problems. Location high up from the town meant an uphill walk back but we knew this. Basic accommodation ,a downstairs loo would have made it better with 4 adults but we coped adequately . Very homely and country feel would make a summer visit great but we were very cozy in December .
